LED Inset Approach Light

LIRA

A unidirectional 12″ diameter approach light, LIRA is used at the centreline, crossbars and approach side row barrettes for ICAO CAT I, II and III, and military runways. With an LED rated life of over 100,000 hours in field operating conditions, its light output is variable like a traditional halogen lamp and as per the FAA directive. LIRA lights mean lower loads, lower size of CCRs and transformers, and thus low life cycle costs. This lightweight and sturdy light fixture has a strong in-built electronic component that is highly resistant to shocks and vibrations and can immediately detect and create an alert in the event of an internal fault.

Additional options

Arctic Kit: electric device, thermostatically controlled, that heats the area near the prisms (inset fixtures) or the external glass lens (elevated fixtures) favoring the melting of the ice and/or snow; thus avoids the light beam obstruction with a behaviour similar to a traditional halogen lamp. Less than 12 VA.

Monitoring: electronic device that returns information of open circuit at the secondary of the isolation transformer in case of failure of a luminous LED source or control board.

Step by step

We offer our customers a complete, ongoing service that starts from the design of the airport ground movement system and continues with production, installation and maintenance. Every single project is tailored to the customer's needs and carried out in collaboration with various sector partners.
