Insulation Resistance Monitoring System
OCEM’s IRM allows for measuring earth leakage currents of series circuits powered by existing regulating units, without any modifications or interventions to the regulators.
It displays the insulation resistance value locally, making it available within the local network e.g. optical fiber but also on the cabinet and the control stations. The permanent monitoring and insulation measurement of the series circuits enable detection of deterioration of the earth insulation, keeping the maintenance log updated on potential criticalities. Airport maintenance staff can accordingly plan to ensure the safety of personnel, the uninterrupted operation of lights and signs and a more general reliability of the entire airfield ground lighting system.
