OCEM’s LED lights illuminate the runway centreline at León Airport

year 2018

Airport Leon Spain

The Spanish airport puts its trust in OCEM to light up its main runway

Thanks to our deep experience in the Spanish airfield market, the company has won the trust of León Airport to enter into a mid- to long-term collaboration as its AGL supplier.

OCEM was chosen thanks to previous projects it successfully completed with Spanish airports, and its strong references across not just Europe but around the world.

The company will complete an installation of LED inset lights (LIRC) in the León runway centreline within the first quarter of this year.

León Airport is a public airport based 6 km from León. In 2017, it handled 44,389 passengers through 2,236 aircraft movements, boasting an increase of 21.6% in passenger traffic over 2016.

OCEM was the best choice for León because of its ability to provide a unique ring adapter that levels the lights to the ground, avoiding any protrusion. This ring adaptor is used also for converting the bolt circle of an existing shallow or deep base to adjust a fixture having a different diameter.

The feature makes OCEM flexible and adaptable to any other pre-installed system.
