OCEM Airfield Technology continues to expand its business in Middle East with a new installation at Al Ain airfield in the United Arab Emirates, just weeks after it completed two projects in Morocco.
For the project OCEM supplied LED lighting signals, CCRs and an ALCMS control and monitoring system with a total supply in excess of 1,000 components. The monitoring control system was designed specifically for the integration of pre-existing boards at Al Ain, allowing optimal performance results and a smooth transition.
Completion of the project comes about a month after OCEM finished installations in Agadir, Rabat and Fes, Morocco, representing additional growth of the Bologna-based company in the Airfield Ground Lighting global market.
The Al Ain installation is also evidence of a growing trend among airports in recognizing the environmental and cost-saving benefits of switching from halogen to LED technology.
LED luminaries have an average lifespan of more than 150,000 hours and guarantee performance on par with halogen lights — all while greatly reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs.
During the current year OCEM has also installed LED airfield lighting and control systems in largest Global Hubs such as Rome, Milan, San Paolo, Madrid, Seattle and Berlin.
With projects on all continents in 2015 — North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and now in Middles East— the Italian company has shown itself to be a transparent and adaptable partner that can meet the needs of any client, anywhere in the world.
