OCEM project's for Tashkent Airport
OCEM Airfield Technology has won this year the contract for the supply of all Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) equipment for the new Tashkent Airport in Uzbekistan commissioned by the Presidency of Uzbekistan.
Tashkent is the capital and the largest city of Uzbekistan, as well as the most populated city in ex-Soviet Central Asia with a population in 2018 of 2,5 Mio. The new airport is the second one in Tashkent besides the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport (the 3rd busiest in Central Asia) and will be named Tashkent-East.
The new CAT III airport has been built on the premises of Taskent-Vostochny airfield, which previously only served military and cargo operations.
OCEM is supplying all Airfield Ground Lighting solutions in a turnkey model. The project includes OCEM’s energy efficient LED lighting family of inset and elevated LED lights of the latest generation.
The company will also take care of the delivery, installation and commissioning of the AGL power solutions and of the airfield ground lighting control system. Reliability, the quality of the solutions supplied and the team working on the project were – besides the expertise in turnkey approach- the main selection criteria for awarding the contract to OCEM.
This is for OCEM Airfield Technology the second airport reference in Tashkent, but the company has been present since long in Uzbekistan where it has realized many more airport references making it the preferred airfield ground lighting company in the country.
