anno 2017
OCEM Airfield Technology is excited to announce a new project it has been awarded: a brand-new collaboration with Latin America’s busiest airport, in Mexico City.
The company will be providing LED runway and taxiway lighting signals to Mexico City International Airport, also known as the Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez, serving the Greater Mexico City area.
The airport is the busiest in Mexico and Latin America based on passenger traffic and aircraft movements.
In 2016, the airport accommodated more than 41.7 million passengers, (+ 8.53% year on year) and it has budgeted ambitious massive expansion in the months to come.
OCEM will deliver taxiway LED fixtures — both elevated and inset — and a complete runway LED during the first quarter of 2018.
The company, which has local offices in Mexico City as well as manufacturing sites in Italy, France and the US, is confident this project represents a stepping stone toward a new long-term collaboration with Mexico City International Airport.
It’s also an opportunity for all of Latin America to benefit from OCEM’s quality and innovative technology.
