Long before GPS existed, our lights were already guiding pilots home.
OCEM Airfield Technology traces its origins to 1917, when Multi Electric was founded in Chicago, and to 1921, when Buini & Grandi was founded in Bologna, Italy. Both companies later became part of the OCEM Airfield Technology Group.
More than 100 years of engineering history have given the company a deep, hands-on understanding of how airfield lighting systems perform under real-world conditions.
Worldwide reach, local touch.
OCEM Airfield Technology operates in more than 150 countries, with installations in over 1,500 civil and military airports. The company runs 5 manufacturing plants, three in Italy, one in France, and one in the United States, alongside sales and technical support offices in Latin America & South East Asia, allowing its 150+ employees to stay close to customers wherever they operate.
This global network means airports everywhere, from small regional strips to major international hubs, can count on the same level of expertise, responsiveness, and long-term support.
