Flamingo International Airport selects OCEM Airfield for its upgrade to a full LED Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL). Flamingo International Airport (IATA: BON) or Bonaire International Airport, is an international airport located on the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. The airport is the fourth largest in the Dutch Caribbean and is the largest airport in the Caribbean Netherlands. When the airport decided to upgrade its airport to become a full LED AGL airport it and its contractor selected OCEM Airfield to support the move towards a green and more sustainable infrastructure. As part of the agreement, OCEM Airfield will supply all LED energy efficient inset and elevated lights including the Runway Edge, Threshold and Runway End lights, the Taxiway Edge lights and turning path lights but also the PAPI (precision approach path indicator), the energy efficient DIAM regulators and OCEM Airfield’s latest generation ALCMS (Airfield Ground Lighting Control and Management System) INFINITE. This new success in the Caribbean is a great example of the expansion of OCEM Airfield in the region securing a firm part of all Airfield Ground Lighting upgrades and expansions.
